PMO Official Checks Status of 2bhk Houses in Hyderabad
Manmeet Kaur first toured the Indira Nagar project in Khairatabad, stepping inside individual units and speaking with beneficiaries.

Hyderabad: Manmeet Kaur, director in the Prime Minister’s Office, on Wednesday inspected two double-bedroom housing colonies in the city, meeting residents and reviewing the delivery of civic amenities. Kaur first toured the Indira Nagar project in Khairatabad, stepping inside individual units and speaking with beneficiaries.
Residents told her that maintenance costs are covered through rent earned from shops constructed within the complex. A Residents’ Welfare Association representative explained that the revenue is used to service lift equipment and pay electricity bills.
The PMO official also checked on access to basic services, asking women occupants whether Anganwadi centres, Basti Dawakhanas and government schools were located nearby. Beneficiaries confirmed the facilities were within easy reach, while an Anganwadi teacher outlined the range of services available to mothers and children.
Kaur said she would direct local authorities to conduct outreach camps so that eligible families can enrol in central government welfare schemes.
Later, the official visited the G.Y. Reddy Nagar double-bedroom complex at Bansilalpet, where she held a similar interaction with residents. Senior municipal and housing department officers accompanied her during both inspections.
