PM Inaugurates Cancer‑Focused Sindhu Hospital

HYDERABAD: In a major milestone for India’s healthcare infrastructure, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Sindhu Hospital, a not‑for‑profit, state‑of‑the‑art, cancer‑focused multi‑super speciality quaternary care institution here on Sunday.
Modi interacted with Dr Bandi Parthasaradhi Reddy, Rajya Sabha member and founder‑chairman of Sindhu Hospitals and Hetero Group of Companies, and his family members. Doctors briefed him on the advanced technologies at the institution.
The Prime Minister said the hospital was a commendable effort towards improving healthcare infrastructure in the city and surrounding regions. He appreciated the hospital team for prioritising the integration of advanced technology and innovation.
In a message posted on X, Modi said: “I inaugurated Sindhu Hospital in Hyderabad. The effort taken to improve healthcare infrastructure in the city and surrounding areas is commendable. It is appreciable that the hospital team has given priority to integrating advanced technology and innovation.”
Sindhu Hospital is spread across 2.1 million square feet with 18 floors and has 1,500 beds, more than 150 doctor consultation rooms and 29 advanced operation theatres. Comprehensive care at the hospital spans chemotherapy, radiation therapy, cancer surgeries, bone marrow transplants, advanced critical care and over 33 super specialities, supported by cutting‑edge diagnostics, modern laboratory and blood centre facilities.
