Adilabad district collector Rajarshi Shah received the PM’s award for excellence in public administration for transforming Narnoor mandal into a top-performing aspirational block
ADILABAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday presented Adilabad district collector Rajarshi Shah with the PM’s award for excellence in public administration for 2024.
Shah was awarded for his work in Narnoor mandal, designated as one of the nation’s top five aspirational blocks under Niti Aayog’s Aspirational Block Programme in 2023.
Recognising “all round development” in Narnoor, the award mentions improvements across health, education, agriculture and infrastructure. Shah oversaw targeted interventions that boosted school enrollment, expanded primary-health services and enhanced rural livelihoods, helping lift the block’s overall performance metrics.
Modi presented the award to Shah and other civil servants during a function to mark Civil Services Day in Delhi.
