Plumber, Teen End Lives In Separate Incidents

HYDERABAD: Mangalhat police said a 19-year-old girl, Deepika, was found dead at her residence on Wednesday evening. Investigating officer P. Vinod said she had discontinued her studies after ninth grade. Her family found her unresponsive in her room, broke open the door, and shifted her to a hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.

Family injured in LPG blast
HYDERABAD: Five persons, including two children, were injured in an LPG cylinder explosion at Abestos Colony in Jagadgirigutta on Wednesday. Police said the neighbours rushed to rescue the family after hearing a loud blast and shifted the injured to Gandhi Hospital. The explosion left the house completely damaged. Later, NDRF teams and Jagadgirigutta police reached the site, conducted rescue operations and registered a case. Further investigation is underway.
Youth dies after bike rams into pole at Jeedimetla
HYDERABAD: A 22-year-old youth died after his bike rammed into an electric pole in Jeedimetla around 7.30 am on Thursday. According to Jeedimetla inspector G. Mallesh, the victim, Sai Kumar, a CNC operator, was returning to his room when the accident occurred.
According to the victim’s sister S. Usha’s complaint, Sai had left his room at 11 pm to visit Ganesh pandals and last contacted his roommate around 2.30 am. On his return, he reportedly hit the pole at high speed, veered into a wire mesh and died on the spot from a severe head injury.
Man Convicted For Bike Theft
Hyderabad: Nampally City Court convicted 30-year-old Syed Sajid under the City Police Act after he was found moving in disguise under suspicious circumstances. His movements, captured on CCTV, led to detention and conviction.
Police sources said Sajid was a habitual vehicle theft offender, though his name had not been recorded in the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS).
Officials clarified that the action was based solely on suspicious behaviour while attempting to rob an autorickshaw. “We did not frame an innocent man. He was clearly found acting in a suspicious manner,” the official said. Police stressed that vigilance through CCTV monitoring and strict enforcement under the City Police Act are vital to deter potential offenders and ensure public safety.
