Plan To Set Up Coaching Centres for Police Under Cricketer Mohd Siraj, Boxer Nikhat Zareen’s Tutelage: Telangana DGP

DGP Jitender said the police would provide three months of specialised training to those selected for national level competitions at the Telangana Police Sports Meet held recently.

Hyderabad: Director General of Police (DGP) Jitender on Sunday said there were plans to set up coaching centres for police personnel under the supervision of Team India cricketer Mohammed Siraj and women’s medal-winning boxer Nikhat Zareen, serving as DSPs in the Special Police Battalion. The police have also designed a logo representing dynamism, integrity, and solidarity, and has decided to provide training in 28 sports disciplines.

DGP Jitender said the police would provide three months of specialised training to those selected for national level competitions at the Telangana Police Sports Meet held recently.

The third state-level police games and sports meet was conducted over five days in Karimnagar after a gap of seven years. The previous events were held in Adilabad district in 2015 and the second in Warangal district in 2017.
