Telangana Govt seeks custodial interrogation, alleges non-cooperation in phone-tapping probe

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday directed former Telangana Intelligence Chief T. Prabhakar Rao to surrender before the Jubilee Hills Police Station on December 12, 2025, in connection with the alleged illegal phone-tapping case.
During the hearing, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing on behalf of the Telangana Government, argued that Rao had not been cooperating with the ongoing investigation and requested the Court to allow custodial interrogation. The apex court, after examining the submissions, issued directions for Rao’s surrender as part of the legal process.
