People Fond Of Organic Mangoes At Gaushala
Cultivation and ripening of mangoes taken up in organic methods and used dry gross in Gaushala premises.
NIZAMABAD: Organic mangoes sales are on the rise in Nizamabad at Century old Chandrabhanu Kancha at Nagaram. Sri Gaushala committee began sales of different varieties of organic mangoes for lower prices than open market. People from Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Armoor, Bodhan, Banswada and neighbouring Maharashtra state came here to purchase the mangoes for pickles and summer tastes.
Sri Gaushala committee at Gandhi Gunj in the town and it has the spacious Chandrabhanu Kancha Goushala at Nagaram area. Rajpuri and Desi mangoes sold for pickles. Dasheri, Langada, Kesari, Himayat, Banginapally and other varieties of mango sales have taken up in Gaushala premises. Pickle mangoes of Rajpuri sold for Rs 200 per kg and Desi for Rs 100 kg.
5 kgs mango box of Dasheri or Langada variety is being sold for Rs 600. The Banginapally variety is sold for Rs 100 per kg. Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Supriya, a consumer, said that they regularly buy mangoes at Chandrabhan Kancha Goushala. ‘From my childhood, I have regularly come to Goushala at Gandhi Gunj to purchase delicious mangoes’, she said.

When contacted, a Goushala representative said that people in large numbers come here to purchase the organic mangoes. In the open market, usage of chemicals is high in mango cultivation and few people hesitate to purchase them, he said.
