People Believe in Good Luck After Seeing Fox in Karimnagar

Karimnagar: A rare sighting of a fox within the city limits, specifically in the Vavilalapally area, created a stir and generated excitement among residents. The appearance of the animal, usually known only through folklore and stories, was a unique experience for locals in Karimnagar.
The fox was first seen entering the premises of a solar power company in Vavilalapally on Wednesday evening. An employee, Maram Jalender Reddy, confirmed the sighting and expressed delight, noting that local tradition considers a fox’s visit, or stepping on its tail, a sign of good luck.
He immediately informed officials of the forest department. On receiving the alert, officials reached the location, identified the animal as a fox, and tried to capture it. However, the fox managed to evade them and fled towards the outskirts of the town, escaping through the gate.
Locals alleged that the steady loss of hills and forest cover is pushing wildlife closer to human habitations, especially when animals struggle to find food and water.
Meanwhile, the unexpected visit thrilled residents, many of whom captured photos and videos of the fox on their mobile phones. Its appearance quickly became a major talking point in Vavilalapally, with images widely shared on social media.
