PCC Disciplinary Committee Issues Notices to Surekha
She charged that Revanth Reddy’s leadership has turned the party into a “TD Congress.”

Hyderabad:The PCC’s Disciplinary Action Committee (DAC) on Wednesday issued notices to endowments minister Konda Surekha following her daughter Konda Sushmita’s alleged inappropriate remarks against the Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. The aspiring MLA had aggressively challenged the style of function of the Chief Minister.
Seeking clarification from the minister, the committee led by MP Mallu Ravi directed her to submit an explanation within the next three days. The decision was taken on Wednesday following the alleged comments made by Sushmita, where she allegedly spoke against the Congress and its leadership.
She reacted with fury after the Chief Minister publicly announced that sitting MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy would be the party’s candidate for the Parkal Assembly constituency in the upcoming elections. The Konda family has long been grooming Sushmita to contest the Parkal seat.
Sushmita openly questioned Revanth Reddy’s authority, asking if he had become arrogant since taking the Chief Minister’s post. She stated, “Who is Revanth to decide my ticket?”
She charged that Revanth Reddy’s leadership has turned the party into a “TD Congress.”
She alleged that original, long-time Congress leaders are deeply unhappy and sidelined. She also alleged that a `200 crore land deal took place involving the Chief Minister’s brother. She warned that multiple scams linked to the CM’s family would soon be exposed.
Sushmita went on to declare that she would contest the next Assembly elections as an independent candidate from the Parkal constituency if Congress denied her the ticket. In recent months, Konda Surekha skipped the Chief Minister’s official tour and public meetings in the erstwhile Warangal district, besides cabinet meetings.
Mallu Ravi strongly condemned her remarks, stating that they tarnish the reputation of the Chief Minister and the party. He reiterated that anyone crossing the party’s Lakshman Rekha (boundaries of discipline) will face strict consequences.
Notices were also issued to former minister Chinna Reddy seeking explanation regarding comments made about the MLA in Wanaparthy. Chinna Reddy was also directed to submit an explanation within three days. The party suspended senior leader J Prabhakar Reddy from the party over his inappropriate remarks against fellow partymen.
