Accusing the Congress of seeking political mileage over the SIR exercise while neglecting the drought situation: Reports
ADILABAD: BJP MLA Payal Shankar on Tuesday criticised the Congress government led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for questioning the credibility of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, pointing out that the Congress had also won elections conducted under the same Election Commission.
He alleged that the state government had failed to address farmers’ problems, drought conditions and drinking water shortages affecting people across Telangana.
Accusing the Congress of seeking political mileage over the SIR exercise while neglecting the drought situation, Payal Shankar said the government should focus on the problems faced by various sections of society.
He further alleged that the Congress was attempting to create unrest in the country with the support of external forces.
