Pani Puri Seller Attempts Suicide As Cops Block Him

NIZAMABAD: A roadside vendor, Balaji, attempted suicide on Thursday after traffic police barred him from operating his pani puri cart in Nizamabad town.
Balaji had set up his cart near the polytechnic college, but officers forced him to shut down his business during Union home minister Amit Shah’s visit to the district last week. The police closed all roadside stalls, including Balaji’s, and confiscated their supplies for security reasons.
When the authorities delayed returning his seized materials, Balaji tried to take his own life. Fortunately, officers intervened in time and saved him. He is now in stable condition and out of immediate danger. The police have assured Balaji that his confiscated items will be returned without further delay.
