Hyderabad: The Pahadishareef police arrested an accused, Md Sanaullah, a 34-year-old bike mechanic, who allegedly raped and murdered a 21-year-old nurse by attacking her with a hammer in her hostel room in Thukkuguda on Sunday.
The deceased's family and BJP leaders staged a protest demanding an encounter of the accused and justice for the family.
The nurse was found with bleeding injuries on her face in the room. The police Sanaullah entered the victim’s hostel room through a ventilator and assaulted. When she resisted and raised an alarm, he allegedly smothered and strangled her. After the assault, he fled through the same ventilator.
