In a post on X, the Hyderabad MP pointed out to RSS leader Indresh Kumar’s recent comments in Jaipur, where he reportedly said, “The Himalayas not only nurture India but the world. There are times when either China wreaks havoc and at other times it’s Pakistan. Sometimes Western powers try to destabilise the cultural balance of the Himalayas.”
Reacting to this, Owaisi asked if the comments implied that the status quo ante bellum — the state of the border before the clashes in April 2020 — had not been restored along the India-China border. He demanded an official clarification from the government on the issue and questioned its handling of border security. The "Status Quo Ante Bellum" refers to the situation that existed before the border tensions escalated.
