Hyderabad: AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi was felicitated with a black stole by people of the Shia community on Wednesday during the inauguration of the new Anganwadi block at Government High School in Azampura.
During the felicitation, the black stole was used as Shia Muslims observe the 40-day Muharram period, commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Hussain and his companions in the battle of Karbala.
