Outsourcing Employees of TG Medical, Health Dept Protest for Pending Salaries

A staff nurse at Osmania General Hospital, working in the liver transplant unit, said, “At the beginning of 2026, we received salary for only one month.

Hyderabad:Outsourcing employees of the Telangana medical and health department staged a protest over the non-payment of salaries at Dharna Chowk, alleging that they have not received their wages for five months and were struggling to meet their daily expenses.

A staff nurse at Osmania General Hospital, working in the liver transplant unit, said, “At the beginning of 2026, we received salary for only one month. Since then no payments have been credited to our accounts. We have families to support, and even our family members fall sick. How are we supposed to manage when we are not being paid?”

The protesting employees said they have continued to perform their duties without absenteeism despite facing severe financial hardship. Many of them live in rented accommodation and claim that landlords have begun pressuring them to vacate due to non-payment of rent.

Another group of employees who travelled from Mancherial said they work in sanitation, patient care and laboratory services. They alleged that despite assurances from the government regarding the welfare of outsourcing employees, they continue to face uncertainty and financial distress.

“We have not received salaries for months. Unlike regular employees, we do not get benefits such as annual increments or dearness allowance. Salaries are not being credited on time, and many of us are finding it difficult to support our families,” they said. The employees urged the government to immediately release the pending salaries and address their long-standing grievances.
