Out of Power BRS Falls from Donors' Grace
The BRS submitted its 2024-25 annual account filings with the ECI on October 10 this year.

Hyderabad:The BRS’ defeat in the 2023 Assembly elections and the Lok Sabha polls last year has apparently resulted in a huge plunge in donations. For 2024-25, the BRS said it had received about Rs.15 crore in donations and from electoral trust funds, a steep fall from the previous year.
In 2023-24, the BRS had received about Rs.85 crore from trust funds and Rs.495.52 crore through electoral bonds, totalling Rs.580,52,00,000. The electoral bonds scheme has since been scrapped by the Supreme Court.
The BRS provided its latest figures to the Election Commission of India in its annual submission of audited accounts and annual report of contributions. As per Rule 85 S of the Conduct of Elections Rules of 1961, all political parties are required to submit such accounts annually to the Election Commission.
The BRS submitted its 2024-25 annual account filings with the ECI on October 10 this year.
For the last financial year, the BRS reported that it received Rs.10 crore from Progressive Electoral Trust, and another Rs.5 crore from Prudent Electoral Trust. In addition, it said it got Rs.8,79,026 from S. Rajender Reddy, a resident of Mahbubnagar, and Rs.29,115 from Mohd. Azhar of Borabanda in Hyderabad, putting at Rs.15,09,08,141 the total receipts for the party for the 2024-25 year.
