Hyderabad: Osmania University Inspector N Rajender got a tearful farewell on Friday after he was transferred and posted as Saifabad Detective Inspector.
Rajender was among the 147 Inspectors, who were transferred and new postings were given to them on April 30 as part of a major reshuffle carried out by Hyderabad police.
The staff, especially women showered rose petals and bid adieu to the Inspector amid drum beats from the police station to the main gate till he boarded his official vehicle. Before according him farewell, the staff felicitated him with a shawl and garland.
On seeing the affection extended by the staff, the Inspector became emotional and broke down. He worked at the Osmania University police station from March 2024 till he was transferred on April 30.( Source : Deccan Chronicle )
