OU Holds AI Workshop for PhD Scholars

The workshop is being organised by the Human Capital Development Centre and the Osmania University Research Skills

HYDERABAD: With artificial intelligence (AI) and big data changing the way research is done, Osmania University is training its PhD scholars in advanced statistical tools at a free four-day workshop which commenced on Monday. It is being organised by the Human Capital Development Centre and the Osmania University Research Skills.

The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. C.V. Ranjani, director, and Dr P. Muralidhar Reddy, coordinator, HCDC, and Mr. Ramesh Annemalla from the Centre for Economic and Social Studies.

Over the course of four days, participants will receive hands-on training in areas such as SPSS, univariate, bivariate, and multivariate statistical analysis, structural equation modeling (SEM) using SPSS-AMOS, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), path analysis, and literature review techniques, including reference management software.

Prof. Ranjani spoke on the growing importance of SPSS in research, business, healthcare, and social sciences, especially in the era of big data and AI. Dr. Muralidhar Reddy encouraged scholars to make full use of the workshop to strengthen their research with effective statistical tools.
