Order CBI probe into BRS scams: Sanjay to Revanth
Sanjay accused the Chief Minister of misleading voters and attempting to intimidate them

HYDERABAD: Union minister of state for home Bandi Sanjay Kumar dared Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to transfer all corruption cases and scams from the previous BRS regime to the CBI, assuring that all accused would be jailed.
Responding to Revanth Reddy’s remarks urging the BJP-led Centre to arrest those involved in various cases, Sanjay hit back by alleging that the Congress government had deliberately delayed the probes against BRS leaders. He saw Congress striking a secret deal with the BRS leader while blaming the BJP for not arresting them.
In a statement, Sanjay claimed that Revanth Reddy had received intelligence about the Congress candidate’s likely defeat in the MLC polls, prompting him to launch a whirlwind campaign in three districts.
He accused the Chief Minister of misleading voters and attempting to intimidate them. “For the first time in the state’s political history, a Chief Minister has campaigned for MLC elections. Revanth Reddy even threatened voters, stating he would not address their concerns if Congress lost,” he averred.
He also questioned Revanth Reddy’s stance on law and order, stating that the portfolio was under the state government’s control. “Why blame the Centre for Prabhakar Rao and Sravan Kumar taking refuge abroad? Why hasn’t the Congress government arrested KCR, KTR and Harish Rao, who are accused in phone-tapping, Formula E race, the sheep scam and the Kaleshwaram project,” he asked.
On BC reservations, Sanjay accused the Chief Minister of misleading the public. He pointed out that while an integrated family survey projected the BC population at 51 per cent, the state’s caste survey reduced it to 46 per cent.
He also criticised the Congress government for attempting to include Muslims in BC reservations, calling it illegal and vowing that the BJP would oppose it.
Sanjay also wrote an open letter to Revanth Reddy, criticising the Congress government’s failure to address fee reimbursement and pension payments. He accused the government of neglecting teachers, government employees and youth during its 14 months in power. “The state owes `8,200 crore to teachers and employees. Despite 8,000 retirements last year, pension benefits remain unpaid,” he said.
He highlighted that 13 lakh students in private professional colleges were suffering due to the non-payment of `7,500 crore in fee reimbursement. “Ninety per cent of private engineering and professional colleges are on the verge of closure as they cannot pay staff salaries,” he said in his letter.
