For the next four days northern and southern districts of Telangana can expect thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Meteorological Center has issued an Orange Alert for several western districts of Telangana as unstable weather patterns intensify. Due to the influence of a North-South trough and surface-level cyclonic circulations, the state is experiencing varying weather including daytime heatwaves and evening thunderstorms accompanied by lightning.
Cumulonimbus cloud formations are contributing to these intense conditions. Dharmaraju, a Meteorological Department official stated that for the next four days northern and southern districts of Telangana can expect thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds.
Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon has begun advancing more actively. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), it reached the South Andaman Sea, Nicobar Islands, and the South Bay of Bengal on Tuesday afternoon. In response, the Nicobar Islands have been experiencing heavy rainfall over the past two days.
