Telangana Extends Ration e-KYC Deadline to August 31

The state officials urged ration card holders to complete their e-KYC at the earliest.

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has extended the deadline for completing e-KYC for ration card holders to August 31. The deadline, which was earlier set to end on July 31, has been extended to facilitate beneficiaries who are yet to complete the process.

The deadline for completing ration e-KYC has been extended citing heavy rains and the ongoing Special Summary Revision of the electoral rolls.

The civil supplies department has informed district officials about the extension and directed them to ensure its implementation.

Beneficiaries who are yet to complete their e-KYC have been advised to make use of the extended deadline.

Officials said the decision was taken to reduce inconvenience to the public, particularly during the monsoon season, while also ensuring the speedy completion of the e-KYC process. They urged ration card holders to complete their e-KYC at the earliest and collect their three-month ration quota - August, September and October - in a single allotment between August 1 and August 31 from their nearest fair price shop within the stipulated period.
