Old City Metro Works Inspected by HMRL

He noted that 833 of 888 affected properties have been acquired, with 55 remaining, including heritage structures.

Hyderabad:Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited conducted inspections of road widening along the 7.5‑km corridor from Darulshifa to Chandrayangutta for the Old City Metro Rail project on Saturday.

The inspection was led by HMRL Additional MD B Ajith Reddy, who directed officials from relevant departments to expedite work. He noted that 833 of 888 affected properties have been acquired, with 55 remaining, including heritage structures.

Ajith Reddy instructed officials to accelerate relocation of utilities such as power lines and pipelines, and to remove affected assets where land acquisition is complete. He urged earnest implementation of the Chief Minister’s directives to expedite the project. He commended revenue officials for their efforts in land acquisition and said locals were extending cooperation, expressing happiness over the Metro works.
