Old City Metro: Rs 80 Cr Disbursed for 170 Properties

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) announced on Friday that it had disbursed Rs 80 crore to 170 property owners to acquire their land for its expansion project in the Old City. A total of 1,100 property owners will be affected.

HMRL managing director N.V.S. Reddy said road expansion from MGBS to Chandrayangutta was also progressing rapidly.

Reddy mentioned that ownership documents of the remaining properties were under review to facilitate an additional Rs 80 crore in compensation soon. Demolition of compensated properties is ongoing at a brisk pace, with 270 owners having voluntarily surrendered their land for Metro Rail construction.
