Officials Are Making Arrangements To Take Up Works Under The VB-G Ram G Scheme From December 26 To 31.

The central government renamed the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and changed the norms of the scheme. Especially working days increased from 100 days to 125 days.

NIZAMABAD: To protect the migrations of people and provide them employment in native places, the Vikas Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (VB-G RAM G) employment scheme is making arrangements. For the 2026-27 financial year, plans made and budget will be released. For the purpose, field staff will visit villages across the state from December 26 to 31. With the cooperation of people, works will be taken up in rural areas.

The central government renamed the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and changed the norms of the scheme. Especially working days increased from 100 days to 125 days. If the workers applied for the work, it should be provided within 15 days. As per new norms, the state government should provide allowance to the workers, if unable to provided works. Earlier state share is 10 percent and now it has been increased to 40 percent.

In addition, 60 days gap will be provided under the VB-G RAM G scheme during peak crop season, New works of 2026-27 will be identified during the field visits from December 26 to 31. Tentatively, gram sabhas conducted two months ago in the state and working days will be finalised. Various works including forest, roads construction works will be taken up. Women self-help groups will play key role in finalisation works in villages. The gram sabhas will be conducted in Gramaikya Bhavans in villages.
