NVS Reddy Retained as MD of HMRL and HAML to Oversee Metro Phase-2 Projects

NVS Reddy will continue in his position for an additional year, effective from April 1, 2025.

Hyderabad: The state government has retained NVS Reddy as the Managing Director of both Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) and Hyderabad Airport Metro Limited (HAML). This decision comes as the metro rail phase-2 project is at a critical take-off stage, with proposals and documentation for metro phase-2 (B) currently in the planning phase. The government believes that retaining NVS Reddy, who is deeply involved in these initiatives, will ensure the successful implementation of these projects.

Despite a directive to terminate the extended services of 177 retired employees, including Reddy, in the Department of Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) by March 31, the government has made an exception in his case. NVS Reddy will continue in his position for an additional year, effective from April 1, 2025.
