Numaish Will Draw More Crowds This Time, Say Organisers
Hyderabad’s iconic exhibition readies 1,000+ stalls, safety measures enhanced

Hyderabad: Numaish, the All India Industrial Exhibition (AIIE), is set to be inaugurated on January 1 at the Exhibition Grounds in Nampally. Preparations are underway to host the city’s biggest and most popular annual exhibition, which draws lakhs of visitors every year.
Organisers, speaking with Deccan Chronicle, said that they are expecting huge crowds this season and are making arrangements to ensure they get a smooth and enjoyable experience. “We are making extensive arrangements to ensure visitors have a smooth experience and have proper enjoyment here”, an Exhibition Society member said.
Stalls are being set up across the vast venue, featuring products from different parts of the country. These include handlooms, handicrafts, garments, home appliances, furniture, jewellery and a wide variety of food items.
“We are having 1,000-1,200 stalls in the exhibition this time. Every year the exhibition attracts 19 to 20 lakh people, and we are expecting more people to come in as newer stalls are being set up which provide a wide range of products”, organisers said.
The exhibition will be open from January 1 to February 15, offering residents and tourists a unique mix of shopping, culture and entertainment.
They said special focus is being given to safety measures. Organisers said that the fire department, along with police and administrative authorities, are coordinating with them to ensure that all safety protocols are met.
“We have widened the roads in the ground to make sure people are convenient while walking, and we will have a special day on January 6, when only women will be allowed into the exhibition”, organisers said.
“Last year, we saw a few technical and mechanical issues with some stalls, and we are making all arrangements and precautions to make sure no problems arise this time, and visitors have a safe and happy time here,” they said.
