NSE, We Hub Foundation Signs MoU To Promote Financial Literacy

The MoU was signed to promote financial literacy through Investor Awareness Programs (IAPs)

Hyderabad: The National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the WE HUB Foundation on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote financial literacy through Investor Awareness Programs (IAPs), spreading awareness amongst Women-led Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) for fund raising.

The fund raising would be via IPO mechanism using NSE Emerge Platform – EMERGE and to implement the student skilling program in the BFSI Sector across Telangana, to empower women and women-led enterprises.

This MOU was exchanged, in the presence of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Industries Minister D. Shridhar Babu, Rural Development and Pachayati Raj Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka between Sriram Krishnan, Chief Business Development Officer, NSE and Sita Pallacholla, CEO, WE HUB Foundation.

As part of the understanding, NSE in collaboration with WE HUB Foundation, a section eight non-profit company under Telangana government shall conduct awareness drives through seminars, camps, knowledge sessions, road shows, workshops to spread financial literacy and investor awareness.

The MoU also aims to empower the women with industry-relevant skills and enhance their employability in the BFSI sector.

Telangana has an evolving financial framework and it is imperative to empower women students, investors and corporates. This collaboration acknowledges the diverse layers of the financial landscape and aims to engage a wide range of stakeholders.

The MoU is a significant step toward advancing financial literacy, strengthening investor awareness and empowering both existing and aspiring investors. It also focuses on equipping women with essential skills through NSE’s Student Skilling Program—an initiative aligned with the Central government’s vision of unlocking human capital and enabling both employability and self-employment in the BFSI sector.

A vital component of MoU is the support extended to MSMEs, helping them scale and access capital markets through platforms like NSE Emerge, thereby expanding their growth and investment potential.

Sanjay Kumar, Special Chief Secretary, Department of Information Technology Electronics and Communication (ITE&C) and Sita Pallacholla jointly said: “Empowering women entrepreneurs, enhancing financial literacy and creating meaningful skilling opportunities for women are vital steps toward building a more inclusive and resilient economy.”

“This partnership not only supports MSMEs and investors but also aligns with our broader vision of enabling women's success across Telangana and driving sustainable economic growth,” they said.
