Notorious House Burglar Arrested; Stolen Valuables Recovered
Police said the accused was involved in several burglary cases across the Malkajgiri Commissionerate

HYDERABAD: Jawaharnagar police arrested a notorious house burglary offender and recovered stolen gold ornaments, luxury watches, electronic gadgets and other valuables in connection with a house break-in at Yapral. Police said the accused was involved in several burglary cases across the Malkajgiri Commissionerate.
The arrested accused was identified as Mageda Sathyanarayana, 43, an electrician and plumber residing at BJR Nagar in Jawaharnagar. His accomplice, Manak Chand, is absconding and efforts are underway to trace him.
According to police, the duo targeted locked houses at night and broke open locks and stole gold, silver and platinum ornaments, cash, electronic gadgets and other valuables.
During the intervening night of July 11 and 12, the accused broke into a house at Sai Krishna Enclave, Yapral, by removing the window glass near the main entrance. They then broke open a locker and stole around 32.25 tolas of gold, 270 tolas of silver, 5.5 tolas of platinum, an Apple MacBook Air laptop, watches, sunglasses, whisky bottles and 4.5 lakhs in cash.
Following Sathyanarayana's arrest, police recovered gold ornaments, a gold and platinum chain, six wristwatches, a Samsung tablet, a Honda Unicorn motorcycle used in the offence, two iron rods and two DVR boxes.
Police said the accused were also involved in several burglary cases registered at Jawaharnagar, Keesara and Kushaiguda police stations.
