No Village Will Appear Without Indiramma Houses In Telangana In Future: Ponguleti
The construction of 2.5 lakh houses was progressing rapidly and it would not be an exaggeration to say that, in the future, Telangana would not have a single village without Indiramma houses: Reports

NALGONDA: Revenue and housing minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Sunday said there would be no village in the state without Indiramma houses. Stating that Indiramma houses would be sanctioned to all eligible families in the state, he reaffirmed that a total of 20 lakh Indiramma houses would be sanctioned by 2028.
Distributing sanction letters of Indiramma houses to beneficiaries from Lashmidevipally, Sujatha Nagar, Palwancha, and Chinchupally at a programme held in Kothagudem of Bhadradri-Kothagudem district, he said the government had sanctioned 4.5 lakh Indiramma houses in the first phase of the scheme.
The construction of 2.5 lakh houses was progressing rapidly and it would not be an exaggeration to say that, in the future, Telangana would not have a single village without Indiramma houses.
“The sanctioned amounts are being deposited in the bank accounts of the beneficiaries based on the progress of construction. The state government has ensured transparency in the selection of beneficiaries,” the minister said.
He urged people not to believe fraudsters who approach them with false promises of sanctioning houses in exchange for money. “While the previous BRS government turned welfare schemes into gifts for members of the ruling party, the Congress government has been selecting beneficiaries of welfare schemes irrespective of political affiliation or favouritism,” he explained.
Stating that the state government was implementing its poll promises one by one, Srinivas Reddy highlighted that crop loans of `21,000 crore had been waived within 10 months of the Congress coming to power. A total of ₹9,000 crore had been deposited into farmers’ bank accounts under the Rythu Bharosa scheme for the monsoon crop season.
Later, the revenue minister laid the foundation stone for high-level bridges at Sitarampuram and Chinthapentogudem in Lakshmidevipally mandal. He said the government was effectively implementing welfare schemes despite the financial crunch caused by the ₹19 lakh crore debt left by the previous BRS government.
He reiterated that the Congress government was committed to fulfilling all its pre-poll promises. Although the financial condition of the state exchequer did not allow the government to implement all promises at once, it was fulfilling them one by one.
Khammam MP Ramasahayam Raghuram Reddy and Kothagudem MLA Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao also attended the programme.
