No Relief For Munawar Khan in Bhoodhan Land Case
Telangana High Court refuses interim relief to Munawar Khan in ED probe over illegal sale of Bhoodan land to top bureaucrats.

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court was not inclined to give any protection to Munawar Khan, the accused in the illegal land transactions or alienations of government land ( named as Bhoodan land) in Nagaram village of Maheshwaram Mandal in Rangareddy district.
Justice Nandikonda Narsing Rao, the vacation bench of the High Court on Wednesday heard the petition filed by Khan and his mother Khader Unissa, who requested to quash the case filed against them by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in related to government land transactions and by selling around 22 acres to several senior All India Service personnel (IAS and IPS) working in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The ED had conducted raids on Khan’s house and seized around `13 lakh and foreign currency, apart from 45 vintage cars. Later, it filed the case and issued summons to Munawar Khan for examination.
Apprehending arrest, Munawar Khan and his mother approached the High Court to quash the ED case. His counsel requested the court to direct the ED to not take coercive steps and said that Khan was cooperating with the examination and investigation.
However, the judge was not inclined to give any protection and observed that the court cannot interfere in the investigation process. It further directed the ED to file counters and adjourned to June 10.
