No Info about Cinema Ticket Rates Issue in Telangana: Minister

The Minister said he clearly told the producers, after the Pushpa-2 movie, not to consult him with a request to increase the benefit show and cinema ticket rates

Hyderabad: Roads and Buildings, and Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Saturday made it clear that he stopped thinking about the film industry.

Interacting with media persons to clarify the rumours against him, he said he clearly told the producers, after the Pushpa-2 movie, not to consult him with a request to increase the benefit show and cinema ticket rates.

“I have not received any file related to increasing the ticket rates for two movies that were released earlier and another one that was released on Friday and one more film to be released on Monday,” he clarified.

“When I told the producers not to submit an application in this regard, no one was meeting me,” the Minister said. He dismissed the information being circulated on social media apart from airing it on a vernacular news channel and added that there was no truth in it.
