No Artificial Fertiliser Shortage, Warns Collector
The collector verified through the fertiliser app whether supplies were being made directly to farmers or limited to those who had pre-booked

Nalgonda: Yadadri-Bhongir district collector Anurag Jayanthi on Sunday warned of stringent action against those creating artificial shortages of seeds and fertilisers.
During a surprise inspection of a fertiliser and seed shop in Valigonda, he reviewed stock positions of urea, DAP and other fertilisers and sought details of quantities available and sales made to farmers.
The collector verified through the fertiliser app whether supplies were being made directly to farmers or limited to those who had pre-booked. He directed the staff to maintain transparency in sales and ensure that farmers do not face inconvenience. He also reviewed demand for seeds for the upcoming kharif season and instructed agriculture officials to create awareness among farmers on taking up alternative crops such as cotton and red gram, which require less water than paddy.
Jayanthi directed officials to ensure that farmers register online for urea through Mee Seva and stressed the need to maintain adequate availability of fertilisers and seeds.
