Hyderabad: Dr Abhijat Chandrakant Sheth, president of the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), has been appointed the new chairman of the National Medical Commission (NMC), succeeding Dr B.N. Gangadhar.
Dr M.K. Ramesh, former president of the Postgraduate Medical Education Board and ex-Vice Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, will now head the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB).
They will hold the positions for four consecutive years from the date of taking charge or attaining the age of 70 years, whichever is earlier.
