NMC Directs Medical Colleges to Submit Course and Seat Details
The NMC warned institutions that failure to comply would risk delays in approvals for the upcoming academic year

Hyderabad: Medical colleges planning to introduce new courses or increase seat capacity for 2025–26 have been asked to submit mandatory self-declarations to the National Medical Commission (NMC) on May 9, 2025 by 6 pm. The directive applies to all institutions proposing new postgraduate courses, new UG medical colleges, or seat enhancements in existing programmes.
The declaration must be submitted via the NMC portal, accompanied by a notarised affidavit on ₹100 stamp paper as specified in the official annexure. The NMC warned institutions that failure to comply would risk delays in approvals for the upcoming academic year. The order, dated April 24 and signed by NMC secretary Dr Raghav Langer, builds on a public notice issued by the Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) on April 23.
