NIZAMABAD: Commissioner of police P. Sai Chaitanya on Tuesday inspected the women police station in Nizamabad and directed personnel to ensure prompt and sensitive handling of complaints involving women and children.
He reviewed case registrations, investigation progress, pending cases, disposal of complaints, maintenance of station records and the functioning of personnel. He instructed officers to expedite pending investigations, collect necessary evidence and complete probes within the stipulated time while maintaining quality.
He stressed the need to create a safe and supportive atmosphere where women and girls could approach the police without fear or hesitation. Every complainant should be treated with courtesy and respect, and their grievances should be heard patiently, he said.
Sai Chaitanya advised staff to remain available at their headquarters round the clock, avoid unnecessary long-distance travel, undergo health check-ups every six months and strictly follow traffic rules. He particularly stressed wearing helmets while riding two-wheelers and setting an example for the public.
The commissioner also planted saplings on the station premises and inspected police equipment and records. Nizamabad ACP B. Prakash, women police station inspector S. Srilatha, SIs M.D. Rahmatulla, P. Rajeshwar and P. Johnson and others were present.
