Nims Sets Up 24/7 Helpline For Patient Referrals And Admissions
Nims medical superintendent Dr Nimma Satyanarayana said the hospital administration would remain available for patient care, welfare and coordination of medical services.
Hyderabad: The Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (Nims) has set up a 24/7 helpline — 040-2348-9692 — to coordinate patient referrals, admissions, emergencies and other medical services. The RMO duty mobile number was 9490296073, and the director’s duty mobile number 9490076060, a statement said.
Assistant medical superintendents Dr N Rakesh (9490295048), Dr M. Charan Raj (9490295057), Dr Syed Salman (9398979541) and Dr Pushpi Rani (6305808940) would be available for coordination. The system would be supervised by Dr Kashireddy Venkata Krishna Reddy, additional medical superintendent and additional professor (9490295004).
Under the system, details such as the patient’s name and contact number can be sent through WhatsApp to the designated officials, followed by a phone call. The officials will coordinate with the departments concerned for admission and other medical requirements.

Patients’ names, attendants’ details, contact numbers and relevant medical records can also be shared with the duty RMO through the designated mobile number, Nims said.
The facility will also be available to ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, other public representatives and their personal staff for coordinating treatment and referrals of patients.
