NIMS Additional Superintendent Sent to Chanchalguda Jail after ACB Custody
During police custody, Bhaskar was believed to be maintained tightlipped initially over his assets acquired in the name of his benamis: ACB

Hyderabad: The sleuths of Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sent the NIMS Additional Medical Superintendent Nori Lakshmi Bhaskar to Chanchalguda prison after completion of his three-day police custody.
During police custody, Bhaskar was believed to be maintained tightlipped initially over his assets acquired in the name of his benamis and others but after the persistent grilling, he spilled the beans.
The 56-year-old Bhaskar was arrested in connection with a case registered for amassing disproportionate assets to the tune of Rs.6.13 crore. He was arrested on September 22. The ACB said Bhaskar, a resident of Kalpataru apartments in Erragadda, allegedly acquired assets disproportionate to his known sources of income by indulging in corrupt practices and dubious means during his service.
As this is an offence punishable under provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act-1988, searches were conducted at his residence and seven other places belonging to his relatives, friends, benamis, and other associates.
During the searches, the officials collected several documents relating to flats, open plots, investments in financial institutions, gold ornaments and vehicles to the tune of Rs.6.13 crore. The market value of movable and immovable property may be many times higher than the document value.
Further, it was learnt that he has invested an amount of Rs.1.30 crore to purchase a flat which was in dispute before the DRT. Another Rs.1.33 crore lent by him to various persons as hand loans.
