NIZAMABAD: The newly elected sarpanch of Vellutla village in Yellareddy mandal of Kamareddy district fulfilled his election promise by personally providing a monthly pension to a disabled voter.
Sarpanch Sailoo Patel handed over ₹2,000 in cash to Mangali Ramesh at Vellutla village on Sunday.
During the gram panchayat elections, Patel had assured that he would personally support Mangali Ramesh with a pension until an official government pension was sanctioned.
In the presence of villagers and family members, the sarpanch reiterated his commitment and said he would continue providing the monthly assistance as personal support until the beneficiary receives government aid.
