Newborn Baby Found Abandoned In Jangaon
Had any stray dogs or wild animals found the baby before the villagers did, the situation could have turned tragic”:Inspector Srinivas Reddy

Warangal: In a shocking incident, a newborn baby boy was found abandoned on the roadside early Wednesday morning in Kilashapuram village, Raghunathpally mandal, Jangaon district.
According to Circle Inspector A. Srinivas Reddy, villagers were awakened by the cries of the baby. When they stepped outside, they were shocked to find the newborn lying on the roadside and immediately rushed to help.
An elderly woman from the village took him in, gave him a bath, and comforted him. Villagers searched the surrounding area for the child’s parents, but when they found no one, they informed the police.
Upon receiving the alert, police arrived at the scene and handed the baby over to officials from the Child Welfare Department. A medical check-up was conducted, and the baby was found to be healthy and estimated to be just one day old.
Inspector Srinivas Reddy noted that the villagers acted swiftly in rescuing the child. “Had any stray dogs or wild animals found the baby before the villagers did, the situation could have turned tragic,” he said.
Meanwhile, officials from the District Medical and Health Department are checking nearby hospitals to determine whether any woman recently gave birth, in an effort to trace the baby’s mother.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation. CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed to identify whether the baby was abandoned by someone from the local area or brought in from elsewhere.
