Hyderabad:The bridge over River Musi at Moosarambagh will be inaugurated in the first week of September. Unlike the earlier low‑height structure, the new bridge has been built to prevent submergence during monsoon and ensure safe traffic movement. The old bridge was frequently submerged when gates of Osmansagar and Himayatsagar reservoirs were opened, forcing traffic police to barricade the route. The new bridge, with a height of 10 metres, resolves this issue.
Constructed at a cost of ₹52 crore, the bridge runs from Ali Café in Amberpet to Pista House opposite the Musarambagh RTO. It has a total length of 400 metres and width of 14.5 metres, with 3.5‑metre footpaths for pedestrians. GHMC commissioner R.V. Karnan inspected the bridge and allied infrastructure on Saturday.
