New Command Centre To Boost North Zone's Safety

The DCP further said the Hyderabad city police are working closely with responsible corporate entities and communities to create a safer and more secure environment for all.

Hyderabad: As part of efforts to improve public safety, the north zone police inaugurated a newly established Command and Control Centre in Bowenpally police jurisdiction on Wednesday. The facility, equipped with 123 CCTV cameras—including several with advanced number plate recognition technology—was launched by DCP (north zone) Sadhana Rashmi Perumal.

“The initiative aligns with the Telangana government’s vision of transforming the state into a global model for development and inclusivity. A key component of this vision is the zero tolerance towards crimes against women, being implemented through proactive policing measures such as technological integration and community collaboration,” explained the DCP.

The DCP further said the Hyderabad city police are working closely with responsible corporate entities and communities to create a safer and more secure environment for all. She underscored the importance of CCTV cameras in preventing crime, detecting offences and tracking down suspects, which in turn enhances public confidence and strengthens law enforcement efforts.

On this occasion, the DCP thanked K. Anurag, vice president, and Rajesh Agarwal, CSR chief of Gemini Edible and Fats India Ltd., for their contribution to the project.
