NCSC Chairman Inaugurates Renovated Hyderabad Office
Commission says Hyderabad office ranked among its best-performing regional branches during 2024–26.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad office of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) disposed of 10,853 cases during 2024-26 and facilitated the provision of Rs 33.8 crore in relief to victims under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
Stating this during the inauguration of the commission’s renovated office here, NCSC Chairman Kishor Makwana also said the commission had resolved over 60,000 cases nationwide in last two years. Makwana stated that NCSC offices across the states were firmly dedicated to ensuring justice and protecting the rights of deprived and marginalised communities.
NCSC member Vaddepalli Ramchander urged elected representatives and policymakers to prioritise MSME development and welfare measures for marginalised communities, assuring entrepreneurs of the commission’s continued support in addressing their grievances and promoting inclusive growth.
Presenting the performance review of the regional branch, Dr G. Sunil Kumar Babu, director of the NCSC state office, reported that the Hyderabad office had emerged as one of the most active and high-performing branches. The office had registered 177 suo motu cases involving serious violations of SC community rights and conducted 127 formal statutory hearings involving complainants and senior officials from the Central and state Governments to fast-track justice.
