National Space Day Celebrations Set For Aug. 22
The programme will be organised by the G.P. Birla Archaeological, Astronomical & Scientific Research Institute in association with the ISG Hyderabad Chapter and will also include a poster presentation competition, exhibition and prize distribution.
HYDERABAD: Midhani chairman and managing director Dr S.V.S. Narayana Murty will speak on India’s space programme during National Space Day celebrations at the Birla Science Centre in Hyderabad on August 22.
The programme will be organised by the G.P. Birla Archaeological, Astronomical & Scientific Research Institute in association with the ISG Hyderabad Chapter and will also include a poster presentation competition, exhibition and prize distribution.
Dr Murty will deliver the keynote address, “India in Space: A Vision for Viksit Bharat 2047”, from 2 pm to 4 pm at Bhaskara Auditorium, B. M. Birla Science Museum.
The celebrations will begin from 10 am to noon with the poster presentation competition and public viewing at GPBC Hall, G. P. Birla Centre. E-certificates will be given to all participants.
The organisers said the programme would focus on India’s achievements in lunar exploration and space science.
