Nalgonda, Yadadri, Suryapet Record Strong Turnout in GP Elections
Polling was held for 318 Grama Panchayats across 14 mandals in Nalgonda district. Of the 4,51,007 registered voters, 4,08,316 exercised their franchise.

Nalgonda: The first phase of Grama Panchayat elections concluded peacefully on Thursday, with Nalgonda district registering an impressive 90.53 per cent voter turnout.
Voters began queuing at polling stations from as early as 8 am, with many villagers who had migrated to towns and cities returning to their native places to elect their Sarpanches and Ward Members.
Polling was held for 318 Grama Panchayats across 14 mandals in Nalgonda district. Of the 4,51,007 registered voters, 4,08,316 exercised their franchise.
In Yadadri–Bhongir district, voting took place for 153 Grama Panchayats and 1,286 wards across six mandals. Of the 1,55,552 voters, 1,44,483 cast their votes, marking a turnout of 92.88 per cent, the highest among the three districts.
In Suryapet district, polling was held for 159 Grama Panchayats and 1,442 wards in four mandals. Out of 2,29,227 voters, 2,05,583 participated, recording 89.6 per cent turnout.
Nalgonda district collector Ila Tripathi inspected polling stations, including the Zilla Parishad High School centre at Bangarigadda in Chandur mandal.
