Nalgonda Police Conduct Awareness Programme For Transgenders

Nalgonda police conduct awareness programme for transgenders, cautioning them against forcibly collecting money.

Nalgonda: Nalgonda police cautioned the transgenders not to forcibly collect the money at the functions and the people at the junctions in the town with objectionable behaviour.

The district police has conducted an awareness programme on the premises of the sub-divisional police office for transgenders.

Speaking at the programme, deputy superintendent of police of Nalgonda K. Shivaram Reddy said transgenders should lead a respectful life by not creating inconvenience to others in the society.

They should also respect the rules and cooperate with the police in protecting law and order.

He made it clear that transgender people had no right to demand money at the functions and to insist the people at the junctions and visiting their houses in the colonies for huge amounts. They can receive the money; the people offer them voluntarily.

He warned that action would be taken as per the law against those who would demand money and try to create panic with objectionable behavior.
