Nalgonda Crossroads-Owaisi Junction Corridor to Open by April
Stressing the need for seamless connectivity once the corridor becomes operational, the Commissioner asked officials to complete land acquisition for the service roads at the earliest to facilitate smooth traffic flow in the area.

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner R.V. Karnan on Tuesday said the Nalgonda Crossroads to the Owaisi Junction comprehensive development corridor would be made operational by April, as he reviewed the progress of works on the conflict-free traffic corridor in south Hyderabad.
During a field-level inspection of the stretch running via Saidabad and IS Sadan to Owaisi Junction, officials informed the Commissioner that nearly 80 percent of the works had been completed on the project, which includes a 2,530-metre-long main flyover being executed at an estimated cost of 620 crore under the engineering, procurement and construction turnkey mode.
Karnan instructed engineers and contractors to expedite the remaining works and ensure the corridor is opened to traffic by April. He also directed officials to obtain necessary traffic diversion permissions for the critical Saidabad-Dhobighat Junction stretch to avoid interruptions during the final phase of construction.
Stressing the need for seamless connectivity once the corridor becomes operational, the Commissioner asked officials to complete land acquisition for the service roads at the earliest to facilitate smooth traffic flow in the area.
Charminar zonal commissioner Srinivas Reddy, executive engineer B. Gopal and other senior GHMC officials were present during the inspection.
