Naidu Directs Action against Coaching Centres Pressuring Job Aspirants to Protest

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday directed officials to take action against private coaching centres in the state which are allegedly pressuring job aspirants to participate in agitations and protests.
The government has received reports that some private coaching centres in the state are "violating rules," and cannot become platforms for alleged "political plots", an official release said. "Action must be initiated against some coaching centre going against laws," it said, quoting the CM.
According to officials, some coaching centres with "mala fide intentions" are coercing job aspirants preparing for competitive examinations to participate in "politically motivated" protests for their "vested interests."
The government made is clear that it will not tolerate such activities by private coaching centres and advised candidates to focus on their preparation for examinations.
Moreover, the government directed officials to implement regulations to ensure that the coaching centre abide by the rules.
The government's focus on coaching centres comes at a time the 'Mega DSC – 2025' (teacher recruitment) and 2018 Group – I examinations are mired in controversies, with protests reported at some places.
