Musi Project Water Level Nears Full Reservoir Level, Alert Issued
The inflow into the Musi project at Solipet was recorded at 1,147.24 cusecs.
Nalgonda:The irrigation department issued an alert on Thursday for people living in villages along the Musi river in Nalgonda and Suryapet districts as rising inflows could lead to the project gates being lifted.
The inflow into the Musi project at Solipet was recorded at 1,147.24 cusecs. The water level stood at 640.58 feet against the full reservoir level of 645 feet.
Officials advised residents of Ratnapuram, Ramavaram, Hanuman Thanda, Venkatrampur, Tekumatla, Nandyalagudem, Konkathimmani Annaram, Circlepet, Kasarabad, Anajipuram, Anantharam, Dosapahad, Sajjapuram, Gantavarigudem, Yellaram, Somavaram, Chintakuntla, Pulagambanda Thanda, Musi Oddu Singaram, Yellapuram and Shoonyapahad to remain alert and avoid entering the Musi river.
Residents of Bopparam, Kasanagod, Chikatigudem, Kothapet, Uppalapahad, Koppolu, Bhimaram, Amanagal, Lakshmidevigudem, Ravulapenta, Rajapet, Narsimhulagudem, Takkellapadu, Kalvapally, Allagadapa, Rayanipalem, Mulakala Kalva, Keshavapuram, Tuntukuntavilla, Vadapally and Wazirabad in Nalgonda district were also asked to remain alert.
