Multiple Hyderabad Eateries Found Violating Safety Norms
HYDERABAD: Food safety officials issued notices after finding lapses at several eateries following an inspection. The eateries were asked to rectify the defects found during the inspections and asked to maintain the norms specified of Food Safety and Standards Act and Rules and Regulations.
Hotel Savera at Chaderghat found with unhygienic flooring, sidewalls and dishwashing area. Kohirs Ginger Garlic Unit (Retail), Malakpet, was instructed to use pallets, implement first in-first out and first expired-first out practices, and remove misleading claims from product labels.
O Cakes at Saleemnagar was directed to display the date of manufacture and "use by" dates on prepared pastries. At Sri Pragnya Bhavan Hostel, Chikkadpally, the dining area was found to be unhygienic. At Masala Mantra, Gandhinagar, use of food colours was detected and the items were discarded. At Mahadev Food Court, also at Gandhinagar, expired masala and synthetic colours were found and discarded on the spot.
