MRPS Slams Oppn Inaction On Public Issues

Speaking at a meeting of the Vikalangula Hakkula Porata Samiti (VHPS) held at Chityal in Nalgonda district, he said the Opposition had failed to mount pressure on the Congress government to fulfil its pre-poll promises.

Nalgonda: Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti (MRPS) founder president Manda Krishna Madiga on Monday said the MRPS would take up public issues, as Opposition parties had failed to do so.

Speaking at a meeting of the Vikalangula Hakkula Porata Samiti (VHPS) held at Chityal in Nalgonda district, he said the Opposition had failed to mount pressure on the Congress government to fulfil its pre-poll promises. He recalled that during the Legislative Assembly elections, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had promised to increase welfare pensions from ₹2,000 to ₹4,000 and disabled pensions from ₹3,000 to ₹6,000 per month. However, Revanth Reddy had not fulfilled this promise even after completing 20 months in office, he alleged.

He pointed out that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had fulfilled his poll promise to hike pensions within a month of the TD coming to power in the neighbouring state.

Manda Krishna also demanded that the Telangana government provide a monthly pension of ₹10,000 to persons suffering from muscular dysfunction.
